“I believe that true sustainability must come from an authentic place. I’ve been a vegetarian for environmental reasons for 20 years. I teach sustainable business in the MBA program at the University of Hawai’i, and I bike commute most of the time. When I drive, I use my biodiesel powered Volkswagen Jetta TDI. I believe wholeheartedly in “voting with your dollars”, supporting green businesses and locally owned businesses that are building a just and equitable society. I know there are always tradeoffs in business, but I feel very strongly that if you’re taking advice from someone to help you start or run a green business, that person should live it and breathe it.
